Scuba Diving Bay Islands
Ted's Point Utila - The Rojan - Bay Island College of Diving  If you travel north from Honduras for 35 miles to the western Caribbean you will come to the beautiful Bay Islands. Roatan, Utila and Guanaja are the three larger islands, but there are over 60 islands and keys that make up the chain. The islands began to earn fame as a sport diving destination in the 1960s and today are one of the Caribbean's most popular dive destinations. The islands are surrounded by the second largest barrier reef in the world and have something from for every level from coral reefs, dolphins and hidden wrecks. Water temperatures are consistent all year round from the low 80’s Fahrenheit to the high 70’s Fahrenheit in the winter.

Bay Islands Beach Resort - A 44 acre all inclusive resort on Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras. We offer scuba diving, technical diving including nitrox, trimix and custom gas blending, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking and land packages. Family and children's programs available year-round.

Bay Islands College of Diving - BICD is a PADI 5 Star Career Development Center and was awarded the 2005 Project Aware Environmental Achievement Award. The BICD was opened in 1993 for backpackers as an Eco Dive Center offering dive training & excursions beyond the standard. Today BICD continues to offer multilingual courses through to Dive Instructor, nightly presentations by our staff Biologists and a Naturalist Division – The Whale Shark & Oceanic Research Center (www.wsorc.com)

Dive Sites
The Bay Islands are located in the second largest barrier reef in the world and are home to more than 350 species of reef fish. Some of the more famous island wrecks are the Prince Albert and the Aguila. The Island of Guanaja is home to the Jado Trader, a 160 foot cargo boat deliberately sunk for divers rests in 100 feet of water. The Odyssey is a massive 300-foot freighter is one of the most recent wrecks in the Bay Islands. It was deliberately sunk for divers and sits on the sandy bottom about 100ft below the surface.
